Deborah at Highmoor Gardens

After living in Northowram for 30 years, Deborah knew she wanted to stay in the area but had struggled to find a new home that matched what she was looking for. Then, while walking past Highmoor Gardens one day, she decided to pop into the development and take a look at the Show Home.

“I walked past one day and decided to call in. I saw the Show Home and I was sold.”

Deborah had considered a number of options before discovering Newett Homes but felt we offered something different from the larger housebuilders she had looked at.

“I wanted to stay in the area, but the other housebuilders were big companies. I did my research on Newett Homes and found some really good reviews, and they seemed to have more of a human touch.”

Now settled into her new home, Deborah says she loves everything about it, particularly the generous size of the bedrooms.

Her experience from reservation through to moving in was also a positive one, with Maria making a particular impression during the sales process.

“Maria was great. She was really personable and took the time to get to know what I wanted. When I was making my choices, she was really good at helping me think about what would go together. It was good from the minute I reserved the plot.”

Deborah also praised Kat the Sales Executive, Josh the Site Manager, Jamie the Assistant Site Manager, and Mark the General Operative for the support and care they showed throughout her move.

“Kat was brilliant. The day before moving was stressful for me, but she was so empathetic and came round to see how I was doing after I moved in. Josh and Jamie were great too, and Mark is always friendly and makes you feel like a valued customer.”

Mark at Highmoor Gardens

Having lived locally previously, Mark knew he wanted to stay in the area when it came to finding his new home. He was looking for a new build but didn’t want to leave the community he already knew.

After discovering Highmoor Gardens, Mark was impressed by the range of homes available and visited the office before the Show Home had been completed.

“I wanted a new build but didn’t want to move out of the area. I went down to the Marketing Suite before the Show Home was built and liked the range of homes available.”

Now living at Highmoor Gardens, Mark says there are plenty of things he enjoys about his new home and the development, particularly the consistent finish, peaceful surroundings and the area itself.

“I like everything about it. Everything is symmetrical, the standard of finish is good, it’s a quiet development and I like the area.”

From putting down his deposit through to moving day, Mark found the process straightforward, with everything clearly explained along the way.

“The experience was good from start to finish. Everything was explained to me.”

As one of the first residents to move into Highmoor Gardens, Mark has also had the opportunity to see the development begin to take shape and experience the benefits of having the tradespeople on site as work continues.

Leah & Dawid at Clifton View

Leah and Dawid recently moved into their new home at Clifton View in Osgodby, Selby, taking their first step onto the property ladder together.

The couple were drawn to Clifton View because of its location and the appeal of a smaller development. As first-time buyers, choosing a smaller housebuilder also gave them reassurance that their home would be built with care and attention to quality.

“We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Newett Homes,” says Leah. “The whole buying process was smooth and straightforward, with excellent communication every step of the way.”

One of their favourite things about their new home is the feeling of space.

“We love how spacious the rooms feel. It was something that really stood out to us and makes such a difference to everyday life.”

The couple also praised the support they received from the Newett Homes team throughout their move, particularly Sales Executive Helen and Site Manager Dave.

“Helen and Dave were outstanding throughout the whole process. Helen regularly checked in on us and always went above and beyond to support us, while Dave handled every snagging item with genuine care and understanding.”

The couple had also heard about Newett Homes through a relative in the building industry, giving them confidence in the homes before they made their decision.

Once settled in, it was the attention to detail throughout their home that really stood out.

“What really stands out to us is the quality of the build and the attention to detail throughout our home.”

Mason at Hazel Grove

Mason recently moved into his new home at Hazel Grove in Carcroft, Doncaster, after discovering the development through a friend who had already reserved a plot. Growing up in Woodlands and Adwick, and spending much of his childhood in Skellow and Carcroft, the area felt familiar from the start. 

“I visited several times before reserving, and every interaction was positive,” says Mason. “On moving day, when they phoned to let me know my keys were ready to collect, Carolyn was especially lovely and made the whole experience feel personal.”  

Once moved in, Mason found his new home was even better than expected.

“I was really pleased with the welcome hamper as it was such a thoughtful touch. They even provided a WiFi dongle for the first three months until my broadband was installed, which made settling in so much easier.”  

Although the development is still growing, Mason already feels optimistic about the community taking shape. “My childhood friend lives just over the road, which has made the transition even nicer. I’m looking forward to seeing the neighbourhood become more populated as more people move in.” 

He adds: “I’d definitely recommend Newett Homes. Everyone I met from the staff to the builders and tradesmen are friendly and helpful. The people here really do make a difference.”

Kath at Scholars Gate

Kath was looking to relocate to Giggleswick to be closer to her son and his young family, although she hadn’t initially considered buying a new-build home. While searching for properties online, she discovered Scholars Gate, Newett Homes’ small development in the heart of the village.

“I loved the way the development had been planned, with different types of houses, positioning and privacy,” reflects Kath. “I was so excited to move into my Newett home and I wasn’t disappointed. It was exactly as I imagined and more. The attention to detail with the tiling, flooring and décor is to such a high standard. I feel settled, safe and secure in my new home.”

Since moving in, Kath has found the community welcoming and friendly, and is looking forward to meeting more of her new neighbours as the final homes at Scholars Gate are sold.
